Project Life: Taking the Plunge

I have decided to finally take the plunge and try PROJECT LIFE. It is a simple approach to scrapbooking developed by Becky Higgins. I intend to work  on our wedding photos and try a monthly recording of family life. Our wedding photos have been stored in magnetic photo albums and it will damage the photos in time. On the other hand, a saying states that:

”The days are long but the years are short.” ~ Gretchen Rubin

As our family’s self-assigned memory keeper, I want our days, months and years recorded. Our special events and travels, I intend to create into photo books. But the ordinary days deserve a special album too. Days go fast and when the day comes, I want to remember them with the help of these albums. This album shall also serve as storage of mementos, letters, cards, receipts, tickets and even non-paper things that mean to us like kennedy half dollars, clips, buttons, etc.

For our wedding photos, I will invest on Project Life kits and sleeves. Those need to be bought from Amazon so I am still waiting for the right time to purchase them. But I have already set aside love-themed papers, stickers and alphas.

On the other hand, our monthly Project Life I will try to be ingenious and use assorted products and materials. I have my old stash for paper-crafting (which I can finally use!) and have added more this month. As I intend to start this month, I am already working on our photos. I am quite overwhelmed with the number of photos and stories and I know I still have to come up with a system to make this ongoing project easier.

Anyway, I hope to share updates of these projects with you in the coming days so stay tuned.
