Things that I Can’t Do Simultaneously

>> Monday, February 23, 2009

No new layout for me this time. I have been *busy* blogging, that’s why. Haha! Told yah, I can’t blog and scrap at the same time. Hehe. However, I did find something interesting and scrap-related today. It’s Simple Scrapper’s blog. How I wish I’ve encountered this blog when I started digiscrapping! I have not gone through its archives but I will find time. I particularly like THIS post.

Go and read through this blog. It’s a rich resource for those who wants to get the most and give the best to this craft. ;)

Time for me to hit the sack! Tomorrow is another day!

Inspiration is Everywhere!

>> Thursday, February 19, 2009

What’s tougher than understanding conversion rate optimization? It’s loosing your mojo! I don’t believe I lost it. Again. I just think that it’s here, somewhere. I’ve been obsessed and too involved in renovating my blogs that I tend to neglect scrapping. Since I am almost through with my blog work, it’s time for me to get me back into the scrapping. And to set the mood, I thought of reading my books. Or better yet, feast my eyes on some fab layouts I saw at the O. It’s been a while since I participated in a forum and Oscraps is my thing right now. I may not be actively visible there but I enjoy going through the gallery and pick an inspiration or two.

Try it. It works!

No Layouts

I have been trying to renovate all of my blogs in the past 24 hours or so. I have been successful and very satisfied with this and this. However, with this digiscrapping blog, hmmm… I am not sure yet. So don’t be surprised if you see a new template tomorrow. Haha!

Scrapping updates: I have not created a single layout since Tuesday and that’s baaaad! I have been obsessed about renovating my blogs (and cooking up a new blog). Surprisingly, I was also obsessing about keeping our closets neat and our clothes organized. Moreover, we bought a super cool floor mop which made me happy the other day. Keeping our floor clean and squeaky has never been easy! I want to mop almost every day now! Aside from making our floor shiny, it is also a good exercise for me! Beats even the best weight loss pills in town!

I may not have a page to boast but hey, we have a squeaky clean floor! ;)

I’m Just Scrappin’

>> Saturday, February 14, 2009

I have been itching to shop. Again. Haha! I have been scouting for digishops that has promos and sales but they seem to be scarce these days. There’s quite a few but nah, I don’t like what I see. I ought to scrap, I know! But I am just too tired right now. Running a household is tiring, you know. Especially when DH is not around. Teehee! Therese (not my daughter but a co-CT member of Shaui’s team), shared this to us:

How time does fly when having fun,
And so very little housework done.
My mind is busy as can be
Cause I'm just a'scrappin', don't you see?

Thinking of layouts all day long
Paper everywhere; supplies seem gone
Can't find anything, woe is me...
I'm just a'scrappin', don't you see?

Dishes piled high but can't quit now
Got a brainstorm and a wrinkled brow
But I'm content as I can be
Cause I'm just a'scrappin', don't you see?
- Joyce Mitchell

It’s funny and witty and oh-so-true! Haha! But seriously, I am done doing the laundry. And prepared a sumptuous meal for two. Yeah. Just for me and DD since DH is on a trip. I am one lonely (not to mention tired) girl on Valentine’s Day on a weekend. *sigh* I think that DH will agree that I deserve a treat like weekend getaways to some places that are nice and have big malls. Haha!

Anyways, going back to Therese (the scrapper), she is one amazing lady and you should really visit her GALLERY. It’s oozing with inspiration and her style simply blows my head off! Seriously! And when I grow up, I want to scrap like her. :D

That’s According to my Handwriting

Your Handwriting Says You Are Somewhat Traditional
You are a fairly energetic person. You know how do pace yourself, and you deal well with stress.

You are somewhat outgoing, but you're not a natural extrovert. You think first before you act. You tend to be independent, rational, and logical.

You are balanced and grounded. You know how to get along well with others.

You need a bit of space in your life, but you're not a recluse. You expect people to give you a small amount of privacy, and you respect their privacy as well.

You are somewhat traditional, but you are also open to change. You listen to your head and your heart.

You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.

My Mojos

I’ve been trying to find my blogging mojo. It seems that I lost it when my scrapbooking mojo returned. Haha! It’s tough to switch from scrapbooking to blogging. Scrapbooking requires me to use my right brain while when blogging, I have to use my left brain. Confused? Haha! Don’t be. It’s easy. We use our right brain when we imagine, visualize, think creatively, etc. On the other hand, our left brain is utilized when analyze, think critically, compute, etc.

Anyways, back to my story. I have been finding it difficult to blog these days. On the other hand, it’s not that easy for me to scrap but it not as tough as it used to be. In fact, I have a page created today but I can’t post it yet. ;) I’ll share it one of these days. Promise.

Bad Sewing Machine and Sweetheart Alpha

>> Monday, February 09, 2009

My, my. I am itching to shop! What is wrong with me? Haha! Good thing it’s not for discount sinks (though I would love to replace ours, only if this house is ours. Haha!) I am talking about digital kits, darling! But since I am on a saving mode, I still give in but not on full kits. Just the *basics*. So what are the basics? Alphas, stitches, embellishments, perhaps?

Speaking of stitches, thanks to my friend Aggie’s recommendations, I now have these:

folderfolderfolder

All from Sweet Shoppe Designs.

And when I visited Katie Hadfield’s blog, I can’t resist buying this from her shop. (Because unfortunately, I did not win her February BYOC! *sniff* *sob* *sob*)

Go and grab it  HERE at a discounted amount before she sells it at full price! Hurry, hurry, HURRY! :D Peace, Kate!

Alpha Mania(c)

So I have spending on digital stuff again. I know, I know, I told myself that I have enough stuff and that what I need now are more layouts! I am happy to report that yes, I have been scrapping! Yey me! And because of that, I realized that I need more stuff. Haha! One of them are alphas. I scouted (being a cheapskate) and found these:

Folder

Folder Folder Folder Folder They are totally fab, right? Right. And I got them all from Digital Design Essentials for $1 each. There are past Gina Cabrera Idea Notebooks (her version of grab bags) which are on sale. Check them out HERE and see if they interest you. You can get them at $1.99 each, instead of $3.00 which is their original price.

Anyways, I am still waiting for the right pages where I can use these stuff. Hehe. Off I go now and find out what’s the big fuss about material handling. I overheard some teachers talking about it this morning. (Yeah, I am such a snoop! Haha!)

Hurray for ARTSCOW!

My 5R prints finally arrived! There are 50 sheets and they’re free! I just paid for their shipping. Thanks again, ARTSCOW! All of them are photos during our 2007 vacation. I will be ordering another 50 of our last year’s trip and once I receive them, they will be shipped to my in-law as remembrance. I am also waiting for my large print which will be a surprise gift for Shelley, my sister in-law. It’s already shipped. Woot!

Moreover, I would like to commend ARTSCOW’s customer service. I ordered a photo book about 2 weeks ago and I admit, I am very impatient when it comes to waiting. Good thing they sent an email just this today, explaining the delay. It was due to their office shutdown because of the Chinese New Year holidays. They’re based in Hong Kong, remember? What I love more about ARTSCOW is that they inform you about your order and sends another email to inform you that your order is already shipped. Isn’t that amazing or what? So sign-up now HERE and enjoy more savings!

I gathered my guts, spent the entire afternoon creating a layout and joined the Wacom Pen Scrappers Contest.
